About me

I started my career during my military service, as “scientific du contingent” within headquarters of Gendarmerie Nationale in Paris, where I was in charge of reviewing the HR data model.

After a short experience in the PCs area, I entered the world of relational databases in 1987, to redesign the Core Software of the Autodistribution group, under Ingres.

Willing to work with the major of computer science, I then spent two years at Computer Associates France, around relational databases and related Case Tools, in presales, consulting, and training.

Then I participated in a Major European project with Perot Systems: Migration from MVS / IDMS to Unix / Oracle of all the Europcar  Information System. I led a group of 6 DA / DBA and have profoundly changed the working methods of this structure, positioned at the center of projects and operations.

Towards the end of this project I went back to the software world, within Sybase France, where I led a group including 5-DA / DBA for a very large project of the Post Office for 2.5 years in Montpellier. I joined then Sybase Switzerland for more technical tasks such as performance and tuning, migration and Designing, within various companies.

Then, I discovered the private banking world, where I began leading a group of 5 architects directly under the CIO. I have completed two projects: A solid redundant Internet infrastructure, and the establishment of the first SAN in the Bank. I then headed all IT Operations and have implemented there  ITIL successfully.

Finally, I decided to work as an freelance consultant, in partnership with leading service companies, on challenging IT engagements including Agile / DevOps training and coaching, ITIL product ownership and ITIL expertise.
